An aria is a classical music form composed for a solo voice. Arias are generally contained within a larger musical work, such as an opera, and they may be accompanied by instruments or a full orchestra of various Opera Arias.

Our November Concert 2021 featured some Opera Arias – not all Italian and we hope to have a re-run or a similar feature this year.
Why Opera?

Operas are an art form in which a story is told through elaborate singing combined with even more elaborate costumes and scenery as well as fine music writing. The dramatic elements are unsurpassed and add to the flavour of the genre.
